FAQ

Production & licensing

The practical answers before you commit a budget.

What's the turnaround?+

A first draft of a custom beat usually lands within 3–7 days of the direction being agreed. Mixing and mastering run 5–10 days per song. Full projects get a timeline in the quote, and you can follow every stage live on your project dashboard.

How many revisions are included?+

Custom production includes revisions until the direction is right within the agreed brief. Mixes include up to three revision rounds. New ideas outside the original brief are quoted separately.

What do I need to send for vocals?+

24-bit WAV files, dry (no effects), each take exported from the same start point, with BPM and key in the file name. A rough reference bounce with your effects helps us hear the intent.

Lease vs. exclusive — what's the difference?+

Leases from the Beats catalog are non-exclusive: the beat stays available to others and the license sets stream and sales limits. An exclusive removes the beat from sale and gives you unlimited commercial use. Every license term is shown at checkout via BeatStars.

Who owns a custom production?+

Custom beats are made only for you and are never sold to anyone else. You own your master recording; ADEPT keeps the producer's share of the composition (publishing). The exact split is written into your agreement before work starts.

Can I use ADEPT beats on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube?+

Yes. Every license and custom deal covers distribution to streaming platforms. Credit the producer as "prod. ADEPT".

How are files delivered?+

Final WAV masters, stems and performance versions are shared via a private download link on your project dashboard once the project reaches delivery.

How does payment work?+

Beats are paid through BeatStars checkout. Custom work is quoted per project; usually 50% upfront to book the session and 50% before final files are released.
